I drive 30 Watts of LED stripes with this dimmer from the controlling distance of 2-5 meters. In most cases (70-80% of the cases) it's reliable and all the functions are working well. But sometimes it just doesn't work even if I long/hard press the buttons on the remote (the battery is okay) or get the remote closer to the dimmer. I thought of radio signal interference/shielding, but I live in a village, I don't think anyone from the neighborhood would have the same remote.
For me the pre-programmed modes are useless, only young and strobe-lover people would use it while creating a home disco feeling. I use only the gray buttons for setting the brightness up and down, but there are so few steps for the +/- buttons that I cannot make a smooth fade-in or fade-out transition. For me it would be much more usable (for my home cinema) if the blue mode+ and mode- buttons were making a nice and slow fade-in and fade-out effect, maybe with changeable speed.
By the way, for this price, it's okay. It makes fading or switching the light on or off easier and more comfortable.
