As described at a good price, w/ correct adapter. Arrived securely packaged. Generally good but a little wobbly on charging on a rare occasion basis. Not surprising on a well-used product, always recovers promptly, I think the power connector has become a bit worn over the years. Chance you take on used parts, I'm satisfied.

I bought this replacement unit as my original unit was not connecting easily to form an immediate and consistent connection to my external monitor. I was wiggling the Surface Pro to get the green connection light to light up and fire up my monitor. This unit arrived and it connects more positively than my old unit , but still requires some wiggling 2 times out of 10. My third docking station is at work and works 100% of the time so I know the Surface Pro 3 and that unit are perfect.

It was exactly as described, and while the description allowed for some scratches and wear, it looked pretty much brand new to me. The reason I got it was that I was given my friend's Surface Pro 3 and docking station when she died. The tablet was fine, but the USB and ethernet ports on the docking station had stopped working for her some months earlier, The charging connection had also become flakey, in that it was necessary to "slam" the side pieces onto the tablet several time to get the charging LED to come on. But after a ride in the back seat of my car from her house to mine, no amount of slamming or jiggering with the connection between the dock and the tablet would turn the charging LED on, and the USB ports remained dead. Suspecting that the ride in my car had somehow damaged her docking station, I ordered this replacement. But initially, it behaved just like the old one, Over a period of several days I would fiddle with it, but no luck. Then one day I tried grabbing the two pillars of the dock and twisting a bit. My thumb against the right pillar felt the surface of the pillar yield a little bit and I heard a slight "pop" like the freshness seal on a newly opened jar (but much softer). Low and behold, the charging LED came on! So I left it there until it was 100% charged. Then I tested the USB ports, and they worked fine, so I made a final image backup to the 500GB Western Digital My Passport USB-powered drive. It then seemed like the Ethernet port might was not working . Now that I've got a good full image backup (Macrium Reflect free edition) I'll see if doing a factory reset might help to detect it. Not critical, since any place I'd have an ethernet connection there is good WiFi. So bottom line is that this turned the tablet from something ready for recycling into a nice little computer! Can't ask for more than that!Read full review

Great product; using with a Surface Pro 4. It holds the pc at a good angle and accommodates usage with the Surface Type Pad. I will likely upgrade to a wireless keyboard at some point but love all the connection ports! I can connect 2nd monitor (cable sold separately), wireless mouse, and charge multiple devices at the same time. Great for wire management and decluttering my desk. I can even keep my Surface Pen magnetized to the side.

For the most part ... good device well built Usb ethernet audio ports, work's pretty good ... The bad part the locking feature doesn't work at all, when docking the surface tablet it doesn't lock preventing the device from falling apart... Don't know what's the porpuse of that mechanism or feature...?
