I recently got a used Surface Pro 2 which I'm getting a lot of use out of. If you plan to use it for a long period time though, I highly recommend getting the docking station. It comes with 3 USB 2.0 connections along the back and 1 USB 3.0 port on the side. It also has a separate mic/speaker jacks, in the back, but since the Surface's mic/earphone port is exposed, I tend to use that one instead. The video port is the same as the Surface Pro 2, so connecting an external monitor is really easy. I thought the original 38 degree angle of the Surface line was good, but having gotten use to the 43 degree angle, I wish the docking station would support that angle as well. Oh well. You can't have everything I guess.

Love the docking station, allows me to maximize full potential like a desktop. Connecting peripherals are a breeze example external CD drives, external hard drives, printers and monitors etc. Wish that I would have purchased this a long time ago. This laptop sat for a long time not being used because lack of Versatility.
