Its soft material as from the photos i thought it would be more jacket stiff. Again good for summer. Sizing chart a bit unclear. I bought a large and the fit is good. I'm 5'7 with a 33" waist. Length is spot on and arm length good too. Room for a thin jumper underneath if needed. All round very good item.
