  • Inexpensive, entry level hi-hat stand.

I was looking for an inexpensive hi-hat stand to use real hats with my Roland portable electronic drum set. Roland delivers, but I do prefer to use real cymbals on a hybrid like setup when on the road. This stand is light weighted and works well for that purpose. It also allows my double pedal to slide right in between its pedal and leg, and does not get in the way when doing high speed rolls with the double pedal. In overall, - Quality: 7 or 8/10 - Ease of use: 8/10 - Durability (yet to be tested): 7/10 I had a Tama before and lasted more than 15 years of heavy use and abuse, and only replace it because it got some rust which can affect the integrity of my other stands. This product is an extremely inexpensive entry level hi-hat stand that can serve you well until you are in the market ...

  • Great hardware for a novice drummer

The stand is perfect except for one minor flaw: The center rod doesn't have much tension to return the pedal back to the "up" position. You'll notice the sensitivity when you set it up - the pedal responds instantly, which is nice, but only when empty. Once you load your top cymbal onto the bar, the weight will drop the center bar and pedal a noticeable amount. It takes a bit of fine tuning to get the spacing between top/bottom cymbals just right, which can be annoying, especially if you're using a drop clutch. Overall, it's a great stand for a beginner at a fair and reasonable price. For someone who is more experienced, though, I would recommend saving up for a more heavy-duty stand. This one feels a bit too "bouncy" (for lack of a better term), and is especially lightweight/sensitive ...

  • Get what you pay for ...

It's a cheap stand if that's all you need, but I honestly was pretty disappointed in the quality from a name-brand manufacturer, despite the low price point.
