I love this Makita Die Grinder. I previously purchased some cheaper ones but they didn't last very long. This is my 2nd Makita. The first one lasted for about 8 years and I used it as my go to tool for cutting and shaping. I expect to get at least that many years of of it. Buying a quality product pays off in the long run.

I bought one of these in the 90s and have loved it since. It is one of my favorite tools. After years of hard use mine started to buzz and I ignored it. It turned out to be a bad bearing which broke the housing. I loved it so much, I bought a new bearing and housing but I think the GEO600 is discontinued now. The new units seem much bigger but more powerful and more expensive. This older model can almost be used one handed which is useful to me. A few years I misplaced it and bought a green knockoff for $20 and it vibrated a lot and was weak. I bought the HF model for $20 and it also buzzed. Fortunately I found my old Makita! Just a tip, add yourself a speed control using a dimmer switch in line & wear your safety glasses every time you use it!!
