I put this on a base-model Remington 700 I purchased at Walmart for my son. I did not like the fact that once loaded, you had to cycle the bolt to eject all the remaining rounds (it had no detachable mag or floorplate that opened). It was very easy to remove the old stock and put this on. It fits without a hassle and is very ergonomically suited for anyone to use. The length of pull can be adjusted with included spacers to fit anybody. The only caveat is that you must also purchase the mag well separately to use the stock and they can sometimes be hard to find. The mag well does go on just as easily though, and comes with a 5 round magazine. All together, this is a very high quality unit and well worth the money. It will transform any rifle into an awesome piece of equipment!

My only complaints about the stock system is this. The forearm area is a large gap, the definition of floating the barrel is well beyond. The second thing is you can release the bolt once you put the stock on. I’ve always pulled my bolt from the gun when I store it. Well I have to disassemble everything just to put the bolt in. Guess now I will have to leave it in.

This stock will immediately change the way your Remington 700 performs. I have one for my short action 223 and a LA that I put on an 8mm Rem mag. 223 averaged about .75 MOA before the upgrade now shoots bug holes at 100 yards. I've actually called and shot through a 5/8 hole in a steel target at 200 yards with this gun. The only difference was the stock. This stock freefloats the barrel and beds the action in an incredibly solid aluminum bedding block. The optional trigger guard and mag well was also a nice upgrade for both guns. I did have to modify the magazine slightly for the 8mm as it's case was too long for the mag body, designed for the 300 win mag case. Nothing a dremel tool couldn't fix.

This stock is amazing. It completely changed the handling and feel of my Remington 700. I haven't put it on a bench yet, so I don't know how accuracy has been affected. I can assume it will be the same or better. I highly recommend this stock. Be sure to order extra long action screws, because mine were 1/4" too short.

I had an old model 700 which I've always loved but wish it could take magazines. Now it does. Very easy install. Looks great. Cycles smooth. I love the m lok option. I would definitely recommend it.
