Dual inlet/outlet...crossover!?
This muffler is ALSO A crossover, I didn't expect this. It's super well built with nice thick exterior stainless. I would say that despite it being a 3" design, the way magnaflow designed the cross over it is somewhat restrictive for a forced induction v8. I have this set up with two same side inlet/outlet magnaflow 2.5" mufflers and 3" pipe, long tube headers on a supercharged LS. It produces 94 decibels at 3500 rpm free rev (no load) at 20" from the outlet of the exhaust. This is very quiet.... with just a hint of the performance the truck has lurking under the hood. Under full throttle and max boost, it does increase some, but very reasonable. My experience with magnaflow mufflers has been they eventually have some of the packing blow out, though reasonable and over quite a bit of use. They also offer a lifetime warranty. However, I have never attempted to use it.
