There must be some variation within the same sizes as the same XL hat in khaki fitted better. The brim is roughly 5.5cm/2.25in in width and firm enough to hold up to breezes. Well pleased with the hat for the price.

Go for the next up size I would suggest. Had to re-order an XL, which is fine in size. No problem with refund.
