Not Safe For ATV Body Plastic
My new Can Am ATV's shiny plastic body was covered with warning stickers. I used a hairdryer to remove them, but sticky residue remained. Rubbing alcohol wouldn't touch it. Scared of what Goof Off might do to the finish, I bought Goo Gone because the label proclaimed "SURFACE SAFE". I applied Goo Gone to a large sticky-residue area. And it worked; the residue turned into a mildy-sticky gel that could be wiped off. But, THE PLASTIC WAS NO LONGER SHINY. Turtle Wax Renew Rx Label & Sticker Remover did the same exact thing. Thinking "what have I got to lose?", I then tried Good Off on a spot. The residue came off, and, ironically, the plastic underneath retained its original, shiny finish.My new Can Am ATV's shiny plastic body was covered with warning stickers.
