My only somewhat negative regarding this phone is the larger size. I upgraded from a G2 to this G5 and the size of the G2 was perfect for my small hands. I also need to increase the memory. I wouldn't say I have a lot of apps but I am getting a message that I need to free up space in order to run a few of my apps. This occurs even when I have all other apps closed. So, if you run a lot of apps, consider adding some memory. Otherwise, it was a very easy transition for me.

i got this phone since its specs were double my old phones specs and sicne it was under 5.5 inches. i do have 3 issues though 1: the volume up key refuses to work 2: the settings app will crash if i try to search in it 3: the phone battery is old so i need to replace it since 7 hours of battery life is not enough for me since i tend to play on it a lot. Issues others might need to know about 1: it uses usb c not mini. 2: it cannot use power saver and charge at the same time I do reccommend this phone. but only if you can deal with these flaws. for me personally next month im getting a new battery for the phone. the next month ill get the volume key fixed. it would have been 5 stars if not for the hardware issue on a sealed product.

Performance was much better than expected. The phone really flies through tasks with ease. Much faster and smoother than a Galaxy S7, which I owned for awhile. The camera is excellent, and takes photos that leave nothing to be desired, as far as a cell phone camera goes. The size of the phone is nearly perfect and feels comfortable in the hand. I have three gripes with the phone. One, the screen quality is not on par with it's two main competitors, the iPhone and the Galaxy S7. Two, the fingerprint scanner didn't work quite as accurately as I had hoped. When it worked, it worked very fast, but I felt it could be more accurate. This might have just been my specific phone. Also, the fingerprint scanner is a button, and it feels cheap. There's lateral movement with the button, even when it's not being pressed. And my final gripe with the phone is that for a flagship, it didn't feel very well made. If it were originally priced at $400 like current flagship killer Chinese phones are priced at, I wouldn't mention the build quality. But as LG's flagship? It feels cheap. This phone is a great choice if purchased for around $350. Above that, there are other options (OnePlus 3T for example). Below that, it should be at the top of your list.Read full review

Better than my G4 maybe as good as the V20 that died in some water. Sold on replaceable batteries so the selection is getting smaller. I like that it's not as tall as the V20, but miss the 64GB internal memory. The method of changing the battery makes me nervous but so far so good. I prefer a removable back. Haven't used the wide-angle camera much yet but like the concept.
