I bought this game for my four year old daughter because she absolutely loves horses! It was very hard for her to learn at first because the whole game requires the player to be able to read. In order to care for the horse you have to click on a drop down menu and choose from the menu activities such as care, feed, walk.. etc. And once you pick that category, another menu pops down to further pick from. My daughter has learned and picked up on some of it, but it's really for an older child.
I got this game for my 9 year old daughter who loves horses and this was her first time playing on a ds. She loved being able to choose her own horse and everything but as far as customizing your person there wasn't much of a choice. Navigating between menu's is also a little confusing but she has gotten the hang of it. All in all it's a pretty good game.
I bought the Nintendo DS game "Let's Ride, Friends Forever for my 10 year old granddaughter. I am giving it to her for Easter so she hasn't had a chance to try it yet but I am sure she will love it.
This was my 8-yr-old daughter's first Nintendo DS game and she loves it. She's learning a little about care and feeding of a horse and gets feedback about how the horse is feeling, does it need exercise, food, etc. It's not just a mindless game.
Loved watching the girls play the game and use their imagination caring for their horse. Easy to play and many smiles!
