Turns my Kwikset 909 into a 910 with Z-wave!
To get it to pair and work properly in Smartthings, I had to do a couple things first. I had to factory reset the lock by holding down the exterior lock button while inserting the batteries. Let go of the lock button after it does its cycling and beeps the third time. I also had to exclude the device in the Z-wave Utilities in the Smartthings app. After that, it has been perfectly smooth. I am using a custom Device Type Handler and Smart App, but I can assign codes and give them expiration dates or burn after use. Anywho, works great for me!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Kwikset Z-Wave Home Connect Lock Module
Extremely difficult when used with the Kwikset 909 model deadbolt lock that is supposed to be upgradeable. Door automatically locks itself numerous times and is difficult to unlock from within the house. It take two minutes to install and one minute to connect to you hub. I am using the Wink Hub and it connected in 10 seconds. Now I can control my Kwikset 912 to my hub. The best money ever spent.

Nice add to Kwikset Keypad Locks!
Works great... need hub to make work fully. I used Wink, but others may work as well. Once on Wink Hub, you can connect to Alexa which locks door, but won’t unlock door (a good safety feature!). Wink app locks and unlocks. I recommend.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Installed this Z wave Module onto my Obsidian touchscreen deadbolt and now Im able to control the door lock using the Iris smart hub. you know when I called kwikset customer support a year-and-a-half ago when I accidentally put this model on that didn't have the Wi-Fi they never told me I could buy it a chip to insert into the lock I did have and inserting the chip was this was easy enough for shaved down chimpanzee to do.
