i bought my kirby from the salesman that came to my home and did the demonstration,it was our first pchs. when we bought our new home and the carpets were no longer fluffy and had stains, but what a difference after the kirby,it fluffed up the carpet, the stains were removed, and the blue carpet was nice and blue again and even had those vacuum lines we all like to see. what sold me on it was the fact it was good for allergens because my daughter suffers from athsma so i was a cleaning machine when i got it,i was vacuuming the mattressess and getting in all the the corners of my roomsm, even the ceilings, the fans and mini blinds, and with the shampooer, your carpet really smells clean,so no need for those carpet deodorises that are on the market to mask odors, the kirby gets down to the roor of the problem and clean deep into the carpet fibers, and as i said fluffs the carpet because other vacuums tend to wear them down. another great feature are the bags because the dirt stays in them unlike those bagless vacuums where you open the canister and the dust flys out.Read full review
The Kirby G-6 vacuum I ordered looks and runs like very nearly new. Mine only had minor scuff marks on the bag, but was otherwise in excellent condition and worked very good. The only reason I'm giving it a Good rating as opposed to an Excellent rating is because I don't believe that the tech drive works as good as a new one, but it does work. A Kirby with tech drive working as it should will practically vacuum the carpet by itself. This one is nearly as hard to push and pull with the tech drive engaged as it is without it. I must add though that it is reasonably easy even without the tech drive engaged. Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase of this used, but reconditioned Kirby G-6 with attachments. The general appearance of the vacuum was very good with only some minor abrasion on the bag that is hardly noticeable. The unit was very clean with new motor brushes, belt, and brush roll. The motor itself works like a new one and it vacuums as well as a new one.Read full review
The kirby is an awesome vacuum and does the job. But if you dont like supporting garbage companies dont buy these vacuums. They came to my house and harrassed my wife for 2 hours. Then when I got home they still wouldn't leave trying to pull there scam. I literally had to get my pistol and force them out of my house. It seems as if they only have a 2 man system one being the "boss" and the other being the salesman. They will ask to clean a room or a couch then when they get in they are not leaving. They started the price on the vacuum for $2500 then my wife told them the price on ebay and they said that they were all fake. Anyway instead of telling you my story google there company and you will find thousands of story's about there garbage sales techniques. But again they do have a great vacuum, I will never by one.Read full review
The Kirby was very easy to assemble, took the front attachment off by accident, went back together so easy I was surprised. The self propelled option works very well especially if it hard for a person to push and pull. Should have bought one sooner.

I used a G4 for 15 years-hard. Cross country, on my cars. Loved it albeit a bit heavy. It died so I went up to a Sentria, the latest model. With hesitation I bought it off Ebay but brand new in the box. WOW! I love it. Still a bit heavy and the bag seems smaller but it is the little things that sell me on it. The little things like a handle built into it so that it does not hurt your hand to lift it up the stairs, like the G4 had.Or the little lever on the front that lifts outward to help turn the belt on and off. More power of course, than the G4. The light on the front seems easier to change if it goes out-I never replaced the bulb on the G4. When it went, I left it..too much trouble. Not so on the Sentria. The handle is also designed differently, cannot say how but it feels much more comfortable. Hate about it? Nothing. Dislike..okay it seems a bit hard to go backwards but maybe that is because mine is brand new. Hopefully with time it will loosen up. And with all Kirbies, you probably have to get the Sentria a check up every year. That costs also because it is a Kirby. I personally love the Kirbies. After having Hoovers and Kenmores and Bissells-YUCK- I have to stay with the brand. I can handle the weight of carrying it around my house for what it does and how I use it. And I use it every day, sometimes twice on my 3000 sq ft house "Milagro Manor" with its hardwood floors and area rugs and stairs, not to mention the 2 cars! With 3 kids, 2 long haired cats, and 2 other adults in the house dirtying it, The Sentria is worth the money you put down. Or in the long term case-into it. I love the Sentria, It looks sleek and super and runs awesome!!!Read full review
