Keurig were one of the first single cup coffee makers to hit the stores and years later, this model does not disappoint. It brews very quickly (under a minute in normal mode) and at the press of a button can create a stronger cup of coffee (the water is forced through the pod at a lower pressure, allowing it to stay in contact with the coffee grounds longer. We have a couple of refillable pods so we can choose whatever type of coffee we want. It also makes iced coffee, so all-in-all it is a high quality device.

We had this Keurig for 13 days and it would not auto shut off after 2 hours but would shut itself off in the middle of brewing a cup of coffee. The coffeemaker and water carafe is made of lightweight plastic and doesn't seem very sturdy. The only directions that came with this coffeemaker were the quick start and it was packaged in a cardboard Keurig shipping box making me suspect it was a refurb. I've had other Keurig's in the past that were more sturdy. I returned this product due to it being defective. We went back to the Cuisinart SS10 which has a 3 year warranty and is constructed much sturdier than this Keurig model. We liked that it is much quieter than the Cuisinart and has more cup sizes and an ice mode. The coffee it brewed was fine.

PROS: Really like the Strong brew button .. earlier Keurig model, K-500, didn't/couldn't brew the K-cups strong enough .. this one does. Heats fast; like the programmable auto on and off feature after 2 idle hours. Does NOT require use of only Keurig brand K-cups -- HOORAY! -- thanks, Keurig! CONS: The digital window is a little hard to read because of its top/horizontal position. From straight on, the water level cannot be determined, but not an issue if the unit is positioned on the counter at a 45° angle, as ours is in the countertop's corner against our fridge. There is no light in the water reservoir, as is the case in some other Keurig models.

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my wife, and by far this was the best value I could come across. Not only was it selling nearly 35% less than had I purchased it from a major retailer, but it also included 72 FREE PODS! Though all 72 were the same caramel vanilla pods, which we don't care for, the fact they were thrown in free, I can't complain. We had an older Keurig and this was a major upgrade. We both appreciate the programmable aspect as far as it automatically starting up at a set time in the morning, that way we can easily place a cup or to-go tumbler and be on our way in less than a minute, very efficient! The 'Strong' and 'Iced Coffee' option are also heavily utilized features that we could not get on our old one. I'm very satisfied with my purchase thus far and delivery was quick and painless, I would definitely purchase from this user again.Read full review

This is the third Keurig coffee maker I've had, and is by far the best. My first was a K55 that I used for a couple years and liked, but it lacked some features newer models offered. To replace it I bought the K575, but had major problems with the touch screen controls from the git go, so it got returned. Now I've had the Elite for a couple weeks and found it to be full featured, with a good size water reservoir and makes great coffee!
