Bought this to along with new Kenwood stereo for my boat. I now have it working very well, but the way I hooked up my speakers, 4 to 1 channel and ran the other channel bridged to my sub, the way the paperwork said to adjust the amp wasn't even close and did cause me a extra hour headache figuring out the best way to get the settings set for optimal sound performance. That is the only reason it didn't get a 5 star......

I liked the size of the amp small compact Even though this amp is a 600 W amp it doesn't make my 6x9 and 6 1/2 inch speakers that loud. I have a 420 W amp that I hooked up and it makes the same speakers way louder and sounds good Disappointed on volume output but the small compact size worked better for my situation

This amp (I thought would be) perfect for my aftermarket fairing for my Harley Road King. There is not much room inside the fairing, and I needed a lot of power to drive the Polk DB692 speakers I chose. Small sized, and this amp has been bench tested and proved to be under-rated by the manufacturer. Powerful and clean sound. The complaint I have is it overheats big time. I hooked everything up and let it play for an hour at high volume, which would simulate my use on the interstate at 75 mph. The amp gets so hot that you cannot leave your hand on top of it. Amps are supposed to get warm and some get hot, but THIS amp can fry eggs, no kidding. Cannot leave your hand on it for longer than 3 seconds, or you will blister. This is a great amp, but it gets too hot to install in a fairing or saddle bags. I left mine in there and I know it will do what it is supposed to do- it just won't do it for a very long time. Heat destroys electronics, just as much as moisture does. But moisture is pretty much covered by the engineers at Kenwood. Special provisions have been adequately made to guard against moisture damage, but nothing regarding the excessive heat. P.S. I bought two of these and they both heat up the same.Read full review

BigDWiz on YouTube tested this amp and it exceeded spec, especially in the dynamic test. Size is great, very compact making for easy installs. Connections are solid. Sounds great with no noticeable coloration of the sound or distortion. Can be bridged which is a great feature and a feature that's lacking in many of the mini amps. I've experienced quite a few mini amps, ranging from really cheap brands to Rockford and Zapco, and must say for the money, features, and sound performance, the KAC-M3004 can't be beat. More features and overhead than RF and more efficient without sacrificing sound than Zapco ST series.

Rated it 4 stars. Saw a online test of this amp and it exceeded the rated wattage by alot. It sounds great compared with my OEM Harley radio. Clean sounding with reduced destortion. Hookup could be easier especially using speaker level inputs. Need 2 or 4 RCA speaker wire connectors to splice onto output of speakers. Had to order these separate. May also need RCA female to 2 male Y adapters depending on how you want to amplify. I deducted a star due these issues.
