    Kato 11-109/11-110 Chassis

    This chassis is very well made, runs almost silently and has great pulling power due to its weight, coreless motor and flywheel. Unusually for a Japanese mechanism it runs on 12v DC, so can be used straight out of the packet on UK N Gauge railways. Its small size allows it to be used under converted wagons or scratch built/3D printed locos, adding flexibility and variety to your collection.

    Good unit but this one failed

    Unfortunately, with a very short space of time the drive has failed.. Motor runs but no go. I was very impressed up until the failure. Will take it up with the supplier. I have to say though I've had two other units for over a year now than run fine. Assuming the supplier does the decent thing and sends a replacement I will be very happy.

    Excellent little motor

    This is a great little motor. For the size of it I am surprised at the really good pulling power. I have used it with a resin loco body on my 009 narrow gauge model railway. It even managed the tight curves and fairly steep gradients. Very pleased with it and would buy again in the future.

    Perfect chassis for narrow gauge,

    This chassis was purchased as the 3d printed OO9 loco I bought, was made to fit it without modification. All I can say is that it outshines every other chassis I've used. Its smooth, has a very controllable acceleration and great pulling power. The only snag is that it doesn't have steam motion but I just hid it behind side skirting. For anyone contemplating having a go at either an N scale or OO9 model, buy one tailored to fit this chassis. Its a real good one.

    Don’t know how...

    ...they make them so small! Bought 2 as bases for a couple of freelance 009 locos. Arrived ahead of scheduled date, and well packaged. Very well made, heavier than imagined ( which is a good thing), and ran incredibly smoothly and at low speed straight from the beginning. Matched speeds too, which is excellent as needed for a push-pull pair. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again, excellent !
