I love this little ukelele! After only the first couple days it stayed in tune. I'm a total beginner but I can play a few songs and I've had it for just a couple weeks. It's very light weight and easy to hold. Guitars are way too heavy and clumsy for me and I always end up with a stiff neck and shoulders when I try to play a guitar. This is great! I wouldn't recommend it for adults who don't have thin fingers, tho. Since it's a soprano size it's small and dainty and there's not much room to form some of the chords. Or maybe I just need more practice!

This is a great price on an upgraded beginner ukulele. Kala has a wonderful reputation and this little uke has great sound and comes with Aquila Supernylgut strings and Nubone xb nuts and saddle. It's pretty too with its rich satin finish and carved design around the sound hole. Hard to go wrong! Speedy delivery too! I love it. Now back to my picking practice!!!!

Pretty good for a beginner uke. Sounds nice but it needs to be tuned daily, sometimes several times during your play session. I'm used to playing electric guitars (6, 7 and 8 string, mostly for rock/metal) so for me this isn't a deal breaker, just surprising how it only lasts a few plays before having to retune. Additionally, the fret ends stick out a bit from the neck, causing significant scratching on my fingers. This could be because the uke was in a dry environment which may have shrunk the fretboard wood. I'm hoping it'll absorb some of this Puerto Rico humidity (70%), otherwise I may have to take it to a luthier to sand the frets down a bit (there's DIY alternatives also, but you may scratch the fretboard/neck).

I did a lot of researching before buying a uke for my daughter's (14) birthday present. Kala, as a brand had great reviews. I wanted a quality instrument that didn't break the bank. I also wanted it to be "pretty". I liked the striped appearance as in the stock photo and decided to take the gamble that the one I received would be similar. At the least, I would have a quality product at a good price. Very pleased with what I received and my daughter loves it. The bag is a nice quality too, not thin and flimsy.

My girlfriend wanted a starter ukalele and was told that Kala is a good brand; she's just getting started and really likes this instrument. It goes out of tune but that could be the way I restrung it. The gig bag is really nice and the price was great; if she upgrades it will likely be to another Kala.
