I didn’t open the item until I was ready to install I’ve spent the winter rebuilding the motor and the Item received was a black unit when listing states chrome. Also the listing says condition is new however packing list states refurbished. Not only out the $ for the wrong item but the black one I received I could have purchased around $100 cheaper. Prime before mounting on Car or truck
KYB Rear Shocks for 2003 - 2008 Honda Pilot. Very pleased that my shocks were Built in Japan but I suspected they were really old stock as the newer ones come from Mexico. I took off the compression strap and compressed both. They were not even close on the amount of force it took to compress or the time they took to rebound. I thought one of them was faulty. Glad to say after about 40 hand compresses they have equalized out. Shocks stored in a horizontal position for years need to be primed before use for sure.KYB Rear Shocks for 2003 - 2008 Honda Pilot. Not good for Odysseys
1999 Odyssey LX: Installed these at around 200k miles (1st time replacing Honda originals!). Also installed KYB struts on front. These rear shocks perform below the very old originals. Have driven almost 16k miles on new set. Rear end was noticeably lower after install of new KYB's. Can't handle my occasional loading up of van for trips/vacations like the OLD originals did. When moderately loaded, rear-end bounces quite a bit and will even bottom out going over even small speed bumps (And I always ride over them easily knowing she's loaded).
