I got this processor for $58 shipping included. The vid came up as 1.26v which is high for these Wolfdales. I did a clean Vista 32 install at stock speeds and then tried some basic overclocking. I added .04v to the core voltage for a total of 1.3v, set the FSB to 266 / 1066 (3.5 GHz)and let 'er rip. Fired right up and ran an 80% cpu utilization burn in in SISoft Sandra for an hour with no hicups. CPUz showed the core running on 1.28v. I was using a copper core Intel box cooler (Q6600)with the fan set on 100% in the bios. With a Xigmatek 1283 you could run this all day at 4.0 GHz. This is a great deal on a cheap gaming processor. Put a BA video card with this and frag away!
A thunder storm fried my motherboard and the cpu. I went from a celeron to a pentium processor and the difference was noticeable, how ever the improvement also was due to an upgraded motherboard.
