      A solid CPU that still has a place today

      If you are not ready to give up your system powered by an LGA775 socket motherboard, and are seeking to add a few more usable years to its lifespan, this is the CPU for you. While it may not be the most powerful CPU in the LGA775 socket class, it is right there at the top and may be the most affordable at the time of this review. Windows 7 64-bit runs great with this quad-core CPU. And Windows 10 (supposedly) runs even better than Windows 7, so it stands to reason that the Q9550 should have no trouble running this as well. It will likely have some difficulty running the newest games at the highest settings (bear in mind that this chip came out in 2008), but it performs admirably in slightly older games when paired with a good GPU. Day-to-day tasks and web browsing are no sweat. If ...

      A great upgrade for my Dell Optiplex 760. Installed quickly and works great.

      I was running an Intel core2 Duo 3.33GHZ /6M/1333/06 processor in a Dell Optiplex 760 and this upgrade had made a noticeable performance difference. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend it!
