      Works well as replacement/upgrade on older laptop

      I bought this to upgrade/replace an ailing CPU in an MSI CR500 laptop. Arrived as promised. Relatively simple to fit on this model of laptop. Performs perfectly well for basic computing tasks (office, browsing, email etc) and an improvement on the original Celeron CPU which was running very slow and very hot. This one is noticeably cooler and quicker. My only issue was the sachet of thermal paste that came with the unit. Don't use it unless you have to, it was watery and messy. i cleaned it straight off and used Arctic Silver 5, much better. But overall this item is very good value for money if you just want to squeeze a few more years and improved performance out of an lower spec older laptop.

      Revive An old laptop

      Nice upgrade for a noticeable increase in speed for an old laptop. Good price & happy I did it to give that bit extra life out of it. Put a SSD to compliment it & it’s faster than my newer laptop
