This fuel is easy to poor and easy to light. It does have a slight aroma to it. If you’re going to use it inside, I recommend using it in a well ventilated room. Also please be careful of spills, make sure to wipe any extra fluid up before lighting. DO NOT OVERFILL!!!!

Although this fuel has a nice yellow color as oppose to Denatured alcohol that you get from Home Depot, the smell is unbearable. My entire basement where my vent-less fireplace is located and the next floor up smelled like someone left a gas pilot on without lighting it. I can't see how inhaling this stuff can be safe in the long run. Smells like it is a carcinogen. I'd rather go back to the blue flame I had from the Home Depot denatured alcohol. Much less odor and a hell of a lot cheaper to burn.

This stuff puts out a LOT of heat. I have a tabletop Bioethanol heater and it REALLY heats up the room quickly and jeeps it toasty warm without getting too hot. I love this type of fuel for heating indoors. It doesn't give off noxious fumes or soot and burns quietly and beautifully with a golden glow. I'm very impressed with it. I also used it in a Bioethanol camp stove and it worked beautifully. Where has this stuff been all my life? I would recommend it to anyone.

I used 6 ounces shy of half of a quart bottle in both burners combined; and it burned approx 45 minutes. It did produce enough heat to comfortably heat: 1 dining, 2 bedrooms, and 1 bath= 800 sqft. The fuel burning does have a strong odor that does increase comparable to a gas stove being turned for a long time without it being lit- not good. Concentrated fumes overtook the entire house when the flame went out visually, but I didn't realize the fuel was burning off in the bottom of the burners. This smell was horrific, and it caused throat irritation, and a bit of nausea. I immediately closed the burners, and opened some windows to ventilate the house. If pets are in the home please keep them out while burning this stuff. If you can smell the burn off, your pets intake of the smell is way more intense, and will affect them greatly. After about 20 minutes of lighting the burners my dog kept sneezing, and pacing around repeatedly- lying down at our back door. Now I understand he was trying to find clean air to breathe, and possibly was feeling sick. After the odor was gone, so was my irritated throat, and the nausea.Read full review

pros: saves on my gas bill, since it warms my apartment quickly. no residue. no smell. great conversation piece when entertaining guests. cons: burns fairly quickly, one bottle will last for about two sessions of 2 hours/piece. At least, from my perspective.
