My favorite icecream is the saffron icecream, using whole milk, honey, pistachio nuts and powdered or mashed saffron, you can add cream and stabilizers as well but i try to keep my icecream on the lighter side so i can eat more of it. As for stabilizer i dont use it because it is pretty creamy once its done and it feels like a real icecream. You can store the left over in icecream container with RUBBER lid as it keeps it airtight and free of freezer's unpleasant odors, it could be store for 4 days. Unlimitted receipies can be made with this machine and timing varies between 23 minutes to 50 minutes depending on the volume of icecream but the best results can be achieved by making small batches at a time, so filling the pot halfway is the best volume as it works quickly without putting pressure on the motor as the volume goes high the afford to mix the solid icecream gets greater and extra long time will be required to make a big volume of icecream which lead in overfilling the pot as the content in the pot will expand when it gets frozen. I couldn't find very many reviews of this machine when I purchased it, but it looked so much like the Ariete – DeLonghi machine at such a great price I decided to try it. I'm glad I did! It turns out nice frozen ice cream in a little less than a hour. I've made 2 batches a day for the last 5 days and it is going strong. It's advertised as 2.2 quarts, I took a quart jar or water and measured it, and yes it fits EXACTLY 2.2 quarts of liquid, to the very tippy top with not a MM of room left, so you can only mix about 1 or 1.25 quarts in the mixer at a time because the ice cream will fluff up. If you are adding mix ins you will reach the top, but it still mixes fine with that volume, and produces superior ice cream! When I make rocky road and add the marshmallows in, its pushing the lid up at the end. I get 3 1/2 pints from a batch. (I pack them in pint togo containers). I can't imagine that the other more expensive brands will do much different than this, but I haven't owned them so I don't know for sure haha. The ice cream I'm making is so much creamier and nicer than store bought, I know that the quick freeze time this machine offers helps that alot. I've had a "freezer bowl" mixer before and was always lucky to get it frozen to just barley thickened water consistency, with this machine it's much more thick, a little more hard than DQ soft serve. I love this machine. You have to push rather hard on the power button, but that is just my opinion. So far I have made Bailey’s Irish cream ice cream with Oreo, strawberry, and dark chocolate espresso with mint Oreo. All have been awesome! I do prefer a custard base over sweetened condensed milk, but either method produces ice cream within 35 to 40 minutes.
