I've been playing bass for about a year now... Played a 6 string, on and off for years... I saw the mikro and thought, what the heck, for the price, I'll try. Well, it takes a little getting used to but once I got it set up how I like... Wow! It's definitely small but after 30+ years of working construction, my hands said, "thank you!" It's so much easier to play... Perfect for a beginner. A person with smaller hands. Even a child. It has all the growl of my Jackson, my Fender, my Peavy or any of the three other Ibanez basses I own. Fits in a normal gig bag. Takes short scale strings(cheaper) fits right behind the seat of my, tiny S-10... No complaints here. Well, one I guess... I keep finding myself wanting to play guitar solos, like it's a 6 string! Easy intonation set-up. Fast fret board. Weighs like 7 pounds! What more could you want from a bass?!?! Oh, and it is beautiful as well! Awesome finish!!! I bought my mikro as a joke, now I'm thinking about another... Tiny but mighty... I gave it 4 stars. I rarely give five. Nothing is perfect. Although, If it could cook me dinner, I'd give it 5 but that's asking a bit much...4 stars... 120% satisfied...Read full review

I searched and searched and decided ion the mikro for my 10 year old daughter. I purchased it new it comes w soft case and cord. The case alone is $20-$25 depending on where you purchase it from. The case has back back straps and a zipper pocket. I was hesitant to buy off eBay but andys music is very reputable and they had great reviews. The iitem arrived on time packaged well and in great shape. I checked the music stores in town and some had to order the bass and the cases they had in stock were not as stylish. Also I didn't have to leave my house. I would purchase again from them

Excellent quality and sound. I was surprised at how it sounded. Even better than my regular size Bass. The quality of the frets and the body was very good. The item came as described. I highly recommend it.

This light short-scale 4-string bass has a very playable neck, nice deep cutaway, and sound/tone versatility. Love the brown-to-gold sunburst finish. Extremely affordable at under $200–Could not believe this quality at such a low price. (Back in my professional days, I had an early 70s Fender Jazz bass that i played for years, then sold when I started my family. Decades later, so glad to be reintroduced to playing with such a wonderful bass. You will love the Ibanez Mikro.)

This is without a doubt the best value in a small bass! I actually have two now, one with flat wounds for the mellow songs and one with stock strings for a snap and twang tone..
