Will keep and read again with future child births
I really like this book and will continue reading to the end but at times it gets really hippy to me. I'm not a hippy person at all but I want a natural childbirth without medical intervention. It's really informative and I'm looking forward to going into labor and trying this method. I do believe most things are in our heads and if you can relax and make yourself believe and understand that this is a natural process and it doesn't hurt, I believe you can have an easy mostly painless birth. Lots of people have done it so it's just mimicking what they've done. Also this book really focuses on good things in labor. Yes there can be bad things and issues but why get those things in your head. It's not healthy to dwell on what "could" happen so I totally agree with that aspect of the book.

Seriously the best way to give birth. Focus on moments, rather than pain!
I bought this product to help prepare myself for my second birth. With my first delivery, I had planned on having a natural birth, but wasn't handling it well until my older brother offered to do some hypnotherapy. It WORKED! I was calm, focused, and much more in control. I even slept through contraction in the transition phase! I'm going all natural again, but this time I'm preparing myself and my husband so that we can handle the situation ourselves. This product is filled with great advice, stories, and techniques that are helping me feel more and more calm as the due date approaches. I would definitely recommend this for anybody who wants to go natural, but would like something backing you up. Good luck!

Great method of child birth
When I was pregnant with my second child a friend of mind recommended this book. I signed up for the class and used the book and CD at home to practice. This method of childbirth is very empowering, what you are going through is natural and doesn't need all of the medical intervention!! My prebirth registration stated that I would be using the hypnobirth method and was treated differently from the very start. I was 7-8 cm when I walked to my hospital room (I didnt want a wheel chair, I was fine!!) and my second child was born about 1 1/2 hour later, naturally! I am now getting ready to have my third child and have NO worries or anxiety about my labor and delivery! CHECK THIS BOOK OUT, you only have pain and anxiety to lose!

Read and Relax!
I bought this book hoping to get more help than I did at my hospital's "Relaxing from Within" class, similar to Lamaze. The Slow Breathing technique mentioned in the book has already helped with practice surges. And the Sleeping Breaths technique helps to relax. The Birthing Preferences Sheet is similar to those used in other natural birthing plans. Now, all I have to do is wait for the BIG event so I can use the Birthing Breaths! An excellent read that I'd recommend to any mother considering a more natural birth!

Readable text: all you can ask for in a book
I love buying books used, because you never lose the really important parts: the words! The only thing I was caught off guard by, is this book originally comes with a CD which was not included. But I got what I paid for.
