If you want your image to have the extra "pop", particularly in overcast weather with little to no shadows, use a red filter like the Hoya 25A, good product for a good price. Normally I buy the B&W Schneider filters with brass framing, all my 77mm and 82mm are both Schneider and Hoya filters 50/50, and I'm having no problem removing either the B&W or Hoya from the lens, but the smaller filters, have a tendency to stick to the lens, but this filter is large enough to remove without a "wrench" tool, also be prepared to pay more for B&W filters. It's a 5 star for me.
Very nice red filter for bw film photography. Intended for my 85 mm 1.4 Nikkor lens and some Zeiss lenses.
