For someone who has no idea about what they are getting into when building a "hotrod" it is a very good book. I suggest this because it has accurate costs and estimates on how much money, time and space will be needed. But it is not much on how to do the work. There are better books on suspensions, powertrains and other subjects that are needed to select the right set-ups. Clearly not addressed is how to put all the parts together.

I bought this book because I have restored Model A Fords, but never hotrrodded one. I have a mechanical backround, but wanted to learn the basics of hotrodding. This book gave me what I wanted to know, plus. I have started my project and still go back and re-read things that help me. In my opinion it is a very good book.
i purchased this book and have found it to be the go to book of reference when building yourself a rod. i'm 65 years old and if i can build my own rod, so can you. Jerry Hill-of Archery Fame.
