Using the enclosed instruction user manual, the directions were followed, and it was difficult to get the 2 holes to match up to attach the handle to the vacuum. It was noted one of the holes had to be made a bit larger, then attachment was successful. Other than that, the vacuum works great, love the retractable cord, and no bag system.

I bought this vacuum to replace my WindTunnel, which I bought years ago, and which was reliable and practical for over a decade. This new model has two pros: First, it is easy to assemble (typical of Hoover machines); and second, it has excellent suction. My disappointment is in the design and quality. I have experienced four problems: 1. The Phillips screw that holds the handle to the body of the machine does not tighten--it just inserts about an inch and a half--and it falls out at random times, causing the handle to fall off, causing the dirt canister to fall off, causing dirt to fall all over the floor/carpet. In other words, the design flaw creates a lot of extra work for the person using the vacuum. 2. The retractable cord did not retract on my vacuum from the first time I used it. I can deal with this issue, because other Hoovers that I have owned have not had retractable cords as part of their designs, but it is a quality defect. 3. The plug does not securely stay in the wall electrical outlet--it slips out very easily. Since I use many other appliances in the same outlet--including older Hoover machines--I know that it is the plug on this appliance, not the outlet. It happens in other outlets as well, which makes for abrupt stoppages in vacuuming everywhere in our home. 4. The extension wand adds only about two feet to the reach of the vacuum, plus the length of the user's arm. The remainder of the extension is a flexible tube (like a Slinky), so having the capability to vacuum far under a bed or dresser is extremely limited with this model. The extension wand also does not stay on the machine while the machine is running and in use, so I've found that I need to carry the wand in the hand that I use to hold the cord, while using my other hand to push the vacuum. I really wanted to like this model, and using the past couple of weeks has been an exasperating experience.Read full review

Love the attachments and retract cord. The machine itself is amazing. But the suction power lacks. Tried to vacuum my truck last night and the attachments are great but still lots of little grass and particles in the carpet remain. In the house I use a vacuum on hardwood floors because it's easier and faster than sweeping but this machine doesn't seem to be able to pick up well enough. It's getting some because there is stuff in the machine but if I use a broom right after vacuuming I get a lot of dust and pet hair.

Great Vacuum Cleaner! All the attachment, longer cord and how you can fold the handle down makes it easy to put away when not in use.Only one bad thing it is heavier then I expected due to longer cord.Still it is worth the weight!!

Very effective as well affordable. It is a bit heavy because it is so powerful with a wide range and a suction that I find to more pleasing compared to new generation hoovers. I know this because I use hoovers on three levels of household. This for getting your job done and done just right. It does not adjust to the floor surfaces automatically. A bare floor setting on a thick carpet will eventually suck up the fabric. This is a hoover for customers that need a powerful performance any day with a tendency to hoover daily regardless of the circumstances. The additional filter compartment look nice and are easy to use. It is a no bag hoover
