Great sight, reticle is small.
The sight is well constructed, and functions great. I was able to shoot a few sub MOA groups @ 100 yards with this sight and my AR. I had a few issues with seeing the reticle very clearly with my astigmatism. If I look through my rear peep sight, the reticle is very clear and sharp. Hits on 18"x24" steel plates out to 500 meters was doable, but would probably be faster with a magnifier. I like the light weight, clear field of view, and the simplicity of the push buttons. Budget red dot w/quality to boot
Great little red dot, awsome redical on an AK mounted on a Ultimak gas tube. I like the horseshoe reticle cowittness with the front sight post, the cheveron and dots are a bit hard to see without a magnifier but it is mounted far forward on my AK compared to putting it on an AR. I can aquire the target with no problem. Only drawback is the 1m for 30 min water proof rating but I am not taking swimming or into a combat zone so it works for me.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

really good optic
this is a really good optic and has great features for its price. I really love the acss reticle. unfortunately on this optic its too small to really use its full potential. its hard to tell that its even a chevron on top of the bdc. in my opinion its not really worth the extra money for the acss reticle since it is so small. Holosun + Primary Arms ACSS = Pure Awesomeness!
There isn't a better red dot on the market for the price with these features, ACSS reticle, auto on/off and long battery life. I've bought a couple of Holosun red dots now and will buy several more. Rugged, accurate... simply a great quality optic, period!

Great red dot
Probably the best value red dot out there if you want a cqb reticle (ie not just a dot). This has the acss reticle which you could use with a magnifier, I don't because it lives on an 11.5 pistol. Holosun HS503G is a nice upgrade...
The Holosun HS503G is a nice upgrade to the HS503C that I had. I like having the circular side battery compartment and the control buttons on top. The reticle is a little different with a ^ instead of a dot in the center, but I think I like it. It also has a 3/4 outer circle similar to the 503C, or you can turn that part off. Finally, it has bullet drop compensation markings. All in all, it is a very nice sight with significantly better ergonomics than the 503C in my opinion.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Most Versatile Red Dot size optic made
I own (9) of these Holosun 503G’s greatest small optic you can buy. The chevron gives you precise aiming and the holdover points really work. There is a chart for other common calibers . I have them on AR’s, HK-91, AK’s and AK pistols. They hold up to recoil and battery lasts almost forever. A lot of friends have shot mine and bought their own and never heard anything negative. Great "red dot" for old eyes
A great "red dot" for old eyes. Yes I know it's not a red dot, but the ACSS's chevron cleans up the star burst of a real red dot and makes target acquisition quick and easy. Seems pretty solid
I own quite a chunk of $ worth of optics from Aimpoint to Trijicon to Eotech to Sig and now Holosun. I would honestly say the hs503g feels as rugged as my H-1 and MRO does, it's not as clear of glass but definitely feels like it's made solid. I Love the ACSS reticle....
