One drawback of the Crimson Trace grips is that they must be removed to replace the battery, the original SIG slotted screws showed signs of ill fitting screwdriver use. These update the look of the gun and with the correct Allen wrench are easier to remove and reinstall.

The screws arrived quickly, new in OEM Hogue packaging, worked perfectly and look great. Hex head screws not prone the slipping and marring like the screwdriver type.

Good quality, I like the hex a lot better than the stock slotted screws. I wish it was a little thicker so it sits more flush with the grips, they are inset because they are thinner and this is why I deducted a star but I do still like them better than the stock ones. I really dislike slotted screws especially on a nice firearm. Just doesn't look right. I do have the factory aluminum grips and I'm not sure if the plastic ones are of different thickness but again still good quality replacements and I have no desire to search for thicker ones but if I ran into them I would change them. That about sums up my take.

I bought these as a replacement for the slotted grip screws for my Sig P226 Legion 9mm SAO. I have an unhealthy hatred for slotted grip screws. Overall, I am happy with these screws. The finish exactly matches the color of the Legion grips both in color and sheen. The only thing I wasn't a fan of, and why they lost a star, is the fact that these screws are thinner than factory as other people have pointed out. To fix this, I went to my local hardware store and bought #6 internal tooth lock washers. I used one per screw and while not perfectly flush, they aren't so deep in the grip. They lost a star because I had to stand there in that isle staring at washers. I would definitely buy again if (when) I adopt another Sig.

These were actually a replacement for missing slotted screws. They worked fine and look great. I had a torex tool that was easier to use (for the installation) than a hex or allen tool. No tool is provided or expected with the screws. .
