I still remember when I fist had seen the trailer for this film I had an immediate interest in the film. The image of the girl on the ground backing away from the car while the car slowly stalked her {see the back of the box for a visual} for those who don't know what I' am talking about. That wasn't the sole reason I wanted to see this film, two other factors played into this. One of which happens to be Robert Harmon, for those who don't know he is the director "The Hitcher". The other reason was because Colm Feore played the killer in this film, who is he you might ask. Well he played that devil dude in Stephen King's "Storm of the Century", which happens to be one of my favorite films, especially for a TV movie. So to say the least I was excited to see this film, even though it didn't turn out as good as I had hoped. Not that it was bad, because it was entertaining and a pretty good movie; it just wasn't what I expected. After the image I had seen from the trailer and knowing who the director was I expected something as good as "The Hitcher". Unfortunately it didn't meet those standards to the fullest. The film in all was good and entertaining, but I didn't really find it suspenseful. A lot of the scenes were kinda predictable but the story made up for it. In fact some scenes were off the hook, like the way he set the two girls up in the beginning where Rhona Mitra got away. Rhona by the way did a decent job in this film, although it still bugs me that she didn't trust Rennie Cray {Jim Caviezel} even after he saved her. And Caviezel did an alright job in this film, he seemed a little one dimensional but that's just me. But he did do a good job with what he was given to play, and he made his character believable. Frankie Faison did a nice job as well on this film with his roll, I love the way his character finally got use a gun in the end of the film. But of course I came here to see Colm Feore, and like I thought he didn't disappoint. He played the roll nicely with a mix of arrogance and evil that made his character shine the most even though we don't see his character as much as the others. In fact that has to be a complaint of mine; we should have seen more of him. Just imagine if his character had been dug deeper into during this film, how great would that have been. That has got to be one of the things that writers Craig Mitchell & Hans Bauer messed up on. Other then that their story is a pretty good one, in fact the idea and concept is brilliant. A guy who has lost all faith in the law after his wife is run down by a serial killer, who kills by way of his car, is let off while he has to spend some time in jail after nearly killing the killer after running into his car with his. The idea is brilliant but director Robert Harmon doesn't pull it off as well as he should have, of course it isn't all his fault the writers did slip with the finished script. Of course the producers as well are to blame, but I should stop blaming people. Because the film isn't bad in fact it is good, it just wasn't as good as it could have been.Read full review
This movie is very entertaining with an interesting plot and some good action scenes. The cast is excellent and the dueling cars are cool. Like most action movies of the time some scenes are a bit unbelievable but if you can look past that using your imagination then this is a really fun film to watch.

I watched this late one night after midnight and almost turned it off. I love Jim Caviezel so I hung in there. Anyway when it first starts he and his wife are at this motel out in a desert. She goes down to get some fruit from a fruit stand. There is a madman, Fargo, coming down the highway and he purposefully runs her down. It seems that he is a serial killer that uses his car as his weapon. It is somewhat graphic and I almost turned it off. Caviezel, Rennie, runs down to get her, too late of course, and then goes after Fargo. It then jumps to years later and Fargo is still killing, just using a different car, and Rennie is trying to catch him. Fargo keeps in touch with Rennie thru a CB radio playing this cat and mouse game. Now Fargo goes after another girl and her friend and runs them down in this tunnel. Again it gets a little graphic. There is one survivor, because Fargo messed up, and Rennie finds out about it. He tries to get her to help him as well as herself to catch Fargo. He tells her that if he can find her so can Fargo and he will be coming after her. She tells him where to find her later that next night. After this meeting that she attended is over she leaves and gets into a car with a friend. Fargo catches up with them and again it gets somewhat graphic but Rennie saves the day and rescues the girl. So now the real cat and mouse game begins between Rennie, the girl, and Fargo. In the meantime there is this traffic cop that has gotten involved as a result of the last accident when Rennie had saved the girl. He becomes a very BIG part of the climax. So Rennie and the girl go out to play this cat and mouse game with Fargo and try to catch him. Instead he gets the girl from Rennie, because of this cop getting in Rennie's way, and runs. Fargo decides to give Rennie the girl back but he intends to kill her first. He tells Rennie where they are going and knows that he will follow. The climax is worth the whole movie! There is a twist that I can almost guarantee you won't see coming. I didn't. I actually like movies with a romantic tone. So this movie was a little hard for me to watch at first. It is not a slasher movie or anything but I was not expecting the graphics that it had. Now you don't see throats cut or anything but when someone gets hit you see almost all of it as it happens. However this movie is more than worth the watch! So much so that I bought it and I have watched it several times since. It is AWESOME!! The characters all work well together and compliment each other. It is very easy to get lost in. A MUST SEE for Caviezel fans! I don't think you will disappointed. Now you should not watch this movie just because you like slasher's becuase it is not that graphic on the other hand if you like romance movies and a softer tone it is a little graphic but I think you will like this one as well even though it is somewhat graphic.Read full review
Jim is a Super Star, always brings so much to the characters that he portrays, his depth and perception of the emotional turmoil really captivates and holds your attention to the film as it unfolds and keeps you hanging on till the end.
