I liked the title and photo so I bought it. Once I began to read the book, I was happy I did. It is a funny contemporary romance with lots of different and sometimes quirky characters. An American mystery writer goes to a British mystery writer's conference and workshop and meets a Scot mystery reading sheep farmer whose sons have sent him there as a gift. It is instant attraction and he invites her to his farm in the Scottish Highlands where she soon learns to birth baby lambs, love Scotland, cope with his one resentful son and one welcoming son and wife, cope with her love's weird ex-wife, and his former overly possessive lover and near neighbor, and a dour housekeeper. He gets to meet her quirky American family including her sex mad octagenarian aunt, all of whom want to know why he doesn't wear a kilt. An entertaining book.Read full review

Great characters and story line. Funny, touching and a wonderful read! I have all of the books in this series and they have all lived up to my expectations. I like to read them in the order they were written, Gives better background and makes you feel like you are there with the wonderful characters. Kind of like you are family.
