I hate that our society is bent on blaming and objecting to the fat person, when we in fact make up a large percentage of our society. All we succeed in doing is damaging the self-esteem of those who are fat. We all come in a variety of shapes and sizes and that is normal. Being fat does not necessarily equate to being unhealthy nor does being thin equate to being healthy. I have known a lot of people that could prove those theories wrong. This book talks about the healthy fat person and breaks down some of the characterizations that our society has imprinted on the fat person. I find the chapter on healthy food being as delicious as junk food intriguing. I really need to retrain my brain. I never used to like junk food - only healthy food. I can get back there again!
Solid choice!!! Definitely recommend! Pages were unmarked.
