The ease of use and interface for the Windows Phone 8 is superior to iPhone, Android, and Blackberry (I've used all 3 extensively). The phone comes with a solid camera and the body of the phone looks and feels great. I like the size of the screen, it isn't so large you look silly holding it to your head, but you can comfortably see everything on the screen. The battery life is on par with current smartphones, by that I mean it is pretty lousy but I have it a 4 out of 5 since they all suffer with the same problem. This isn't really a negative of the phone itself, but the Windows Store is severely lacking in apps. Although, every app that I frequently use is present except for games. Also, on most phones you have a light on the physical phone to notify you of a new text or e-mail but that feature isn't available on the HTC 8X.Read full review
I bought this purely to use as an mp3 player and didn't care about using it for a phone. If you can get the music on it, it is great, although the 16GB of memory on the phone is all you get, no micro sd or other ways to expand. The process for adding files to the phone is incredibly difficult and unreliable. If you do not follow an exact procedure, you can lose what you already have. Being a natural born hacker, I got things to work, but I would NOT recommend this device to anyone without excellent computer skills.

HTC's 8X is quite possibly the most attractive phone I have ever held, and many people feel the same way. In fact even my Apple fanboy friends have commented on how sexy the phone is and how great it feels in their hand. The 8X offers a great camera, although the resolution of the 8MP option does not fill the whole screen. The camera takes very good pictures and is very quick with the autofocus. The phone performs quite well, never really missing a beat, and it can easily run multiple apps in the background. Sound quality for phone calls is quite good, although nothing beats the sound of audio playback with Beats by Dr. Dre built in.
I have used all types of phones and this is by far the best. The windows o.s. is amazing the way it integrates with my p.c. at home and work. I work on documents or spreadsheets on my phone and save them to Onedrive and finish on p.c.. With a good connection, the phone rivals processing speed of my new multi-core desktop machine and even better at some things. The world needs to test drive this phone an o.s.. I'd love to see it grow to the levels it deserves. Thank you HTC (and Microsoft)P.S. the camera and video is dazzling. Resolution deep as the ocean
Great Phone, Wish Mapping was better but still a great phone. Luv the way it operates. Easy to use and Look Great. I luv the email and text messaging
