This laptop has good performance for all types of activity from web surfing to lite gaming and video editing. The only drawback is the battery life. Even in energy saving mode the battery dies in under 2 hours just surfing the internet. My other 17 inch hp gets a little less than 4 hours and my mac book pro with an I7 processor gets almost 5 hrs doing the same tasks.

It would not read the 2 program discs is use regularly, so I was really upset. Then my techno son went into the hard drive & removed some extras and then . . . all was well. My programs were installed and away I go!
