This was a replacement for the same model which worked fine for about seven years until something finally broke in the spool department and the big electronics outlets all wanted more to fix it than the price of a new printer . I like the older printers; they seem much more sturdy than today's low end plastic ones, and I don't really care about wi-fi printing. The only warning I would give people who have not yet been initiated into this machine's (and several other HP printers so I've read) annoying habit of printing an alignment page every time you change the ink cartridges. Scanning this page might stop future repeat behaviors, but otherwise there is a secret technique of unplugging the USB cable and doing a little ritual with candles - just kidding. A very helpful person named Tom describes what to do on the internet if you do a quicSk search. Oh and don't forget to uninstall your old printer before installation. Luckilly I still had the disc and power cord from my old 1350, but if you don't, ask the vendors to send you one for free.Read full review

We purchased this particular printer as a backup for the one we are currently using with our HP Pavilion. A previous printer of the same model had been purchased with the computer when we bought it, but went bad after 10 years. The HP PSC 1350 seems to be a very reliable printer, and makes good printouts, even in color.

The HP PSC 1210 and 1350 all-im-one printer/scanner/copiers may be "antiques" in some folks' opinions, but for me they are durable workhorses. My first 1210 recently stopped feeding paper properly after 15 years of faithful service. It originally cost over $100 new. I replaced it with a used 1350 from eBay for less than $30 and it works just fine. The 1350 has slots for camera cards, which the 1210 does not have. I purchased a used 1350 from eBay for my wife a couple of years ago (also less than $30) to replace a fancy wireless Lexmark that died after a couple of years of pretty light use and we couldn't get a replacement print head for it anywhere. Her 1350 continues to serve her quite well. Both the 1210 and 1350 use HP56 (black) and HP57 (color) ink cartridges which can also be obtained quite inexpensively from eBay. I have had nothing but problems with off-brand or re-manufactured ink cartridges and have had no success trying to refill cartridges. So I use only true HP inks. Why buy new HP inks for $20 - $40 each or risk the hassle of off-brand ink cartridges when you can buy the HP real McCoy from eBay for $5 each if you're patient (or $10 each if you're not quite so patient). I have had no problem using HP inks whose warranty expiration dates have expired. :-)Read full review

Bought this printer because my old one (also an HP PSC 1350)started experiencing problems after 7 years of home use. It's quite functional and reliable. Found a good deal on e-bay from a highly rated seller and figured to stay with a model that had worked well for as long as my old one had. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of new printers and its photo quality is nowhere near state of the art, but it is certainly good enough for home use printing, scanning, and copying. I wouldn't purchase a used one, though, unless seller represents that it is working.
It's a great product. And luckily I got it for like 13 dollars. But it's pretty much a printer for printing off basic word documents. Not for things that require higher quality. The internet pages print off a little lopsided. it's funny but it actually all fits on the page. So i can't complain. I'm happy with this product.
