Developed by Paul Rudolph for Zeiss, the Zeiss Planar lenses are among the first to almost perfectly correct the cushion effect. This is an effect that takes place when your lens distorts the photo, causing the image to become pinched in the center. Named for the action that takes place when a pin is pushed into a pin cushion, the cushion effect replicates the pulling of the fabric when the image is distorted. To correct the cushion effect, the Hasselblad CF 120mm f/4 EX CF lens manipulates focal length to smooth out an image so it displays as the human eye would see it. This Hasselblad CF 120mm f/4 EX CF lens includes six elements inside the lens. The six elements are in four groups arranged symmetrically to the iris diaphragm, reducing distortion while capturing beautiful out-of-focus backgrounds. These bokeh-type images are used for portraits, styled photography shoots, landscapes, etc. Specifically designed for the Hasselblad, the CF f/4.0 EX CF lenses are multi-coated, providing greater resistance to flare. The 120mm lens is ideal for close-up work, delivering an optimum image correction at close-up range. Photos shot with the Hasselblad will be razor-sharp with little to no pixilation. With excellent image quality, these photos can be used for prints, canvases or even enlargements. Even at a larger size, the quality of your image will remain un-distorted and crystal clear. The Hasselblad CF 120mm f/4 EX CF Lens excels when it comes to image quality and light distribution. With an aperture range from f/4–f/45, the Hasselblad can open wide to let light into every corner of the lens. This ensures that your photo will have proper light whether you are shooting outdoors in a field flooded with natural light, indoors with a man-made lighting set or somewhere in between with far sub-par lighting. This medium format lens is equally sharp from f4 until the smallest stop on the aperture ring. With great performance across the entire aperture range, the Hasselblad is truly a lens system meant for multiple applications. Another feature is the improved shutter unit. With shutter speeds up to 1/2000, the Hasselblad CF 120mm f/4 EX CF lens is able to capture everything from quick movement to a close-up portrait. When working with a medium format digital zoom lens, it is important to have a large range of focus. Focusing with the Hasselblad CF 120mm lens is flawless in both manual mode and when using the digital auto-focus feature. The Hasselblad can focus from infinity to 1:1 without the need for extension tubes. Great value for money
The Lens was as discribed, a working photographers lens. Not in mint condition but fully functional. A new one would have cost five times more. It works perfectly, in two shoots it has paid for itself. With an adaptor this 120 HBlad makro lens works well on my Canon digital gear. It's on the heavy side compared to regular canon lens and only works in manual mode, dispute that the results are far superior. Great value for money. Happy Ebayer

I like it because now the len is no longer under production and its quality is excellent. New len which is as high quality as this one are very expensive and difficult to find.
