Actually, I'd say "very good". Full color display of each chord in five positions. A photo of finger placement on the frets accompanies each chord diagram. The book is ring bound, so it folds flat in open position. Finger position on the diagram is color code, providing flexibility in playing the chord. Fortunately the colors are bright, primary colors. I can see their difference even though I'm R -G, B - G color blind. I've been playing for decades, and still there is more information here than I'll ever use. If I were a novice I would like this book as well. At the back of the book one finds a collection of chords belonging to a specific genré, i.e., rock, soul, blues, jazz, etc.I found it very helpful. The only catch I find is the diagrams are parallel to the fret picture. That is they are diagonal to the page. I realize this allows more space on a small page, but I'm used to looking at diagrams in vertical position. As I say, that is not a real problem. This is a very good reference and worth your having.Read full review

Pleasantly surprised by this purchase. I thought it would be a thin, magazine format book but in reality it's a thick book (hence bible). The picture of the chords presented in each page is quite large (a plus for my aging eyes). Grateful to the previous owner who let this book go to a new home.

I loved this book. It is very descriptive and easy to use for beginners to experienced musicians. The chords are grouped by musical genre in which they are most commonly used, and the spiral binding makes for very convienent use. In my opinion there is nothing negative to say. Thumbs way up for Phil Capone and his Guitar Chord Bible!!
This is a much better chord book than others I've seen. It explains the theory behind the chords, which is important to remember from your days of music school and lessons. It keeps you sharp. I love to study and practice from this book. So glad I bought a copy. – Tony Spinelli, veteran indie music artist
