I installed a Grundfos comfort system 5 years ago with only a little success, because the cold water was coming out warm/hot also. I reinstalled it several times, thinking I had done a poor installation. I then thought the valve needed to adjust to the temperature of the hot water. No success. After putting up with the issue for 5 years, and on the event of installing a new water heater, I decided to try and find a replacement valve, since the issue did not go away with the new heater and found the valve for sale on Ebay. I installed the new valve and just like magic, cold water came out of the cold water faucet like it was supposed to do! Apparently the first valve was faulty and would not close off the hot water as it was designed to do. So, for anybody else that has this problem, buy a new valve. Faulty products do find their way into the mainstream.Read full review

The valve doesn't function right. It is too much hot water on the cold water side. I want to return this item but the seller isn't let it. I am sorry myself and for somebody like me.

This is a replacement for a existing bypass valve i installed eight (8) years ago that had discontinued to function properly. It was a quick install. ten (10) minutes as all connections were already in place.

We've been getting about 5 years out of our Grundfos thermal bypass valves. At 8.2 pH, our water is quite basic which pay atribute to the short life. This last time around I tried the Taco thermal bypass valve as they have a cleanable strainer, but unfortunately I didn't realize that they don't operate if the cold water is 75 degrees or higher in temperature which is normal late spring through early fall here in South Texas.

Very expensive for a piece of plastic. Someone needs to build a competitive product.
