I love this game-pad for all my retro DOS PC Games. It plugs into a joystick port on a sound card or some IDE Controllers. Works flawlessly and feels right in your hands. I've read reviews from others on this exact Gravis Game-Pad and people have said that the switches under the buttons do wear out, although I haven't had any issue so far considering it is was an unused 25 year old game-pad when I purchased it. I can imagine if people press the buttons too hard and don't wash their hands before using it that it could prematurely wear out a lot quicker. People always eat Doritos and junk food and play games with these things at the same time and that will just contaminate those switches and make for a gross disgusting game-pad that I would never want to touch let alone use. Just keep your hands washed, don't eat at the same time your using it, and don't stomp on the buttons with your fingers and I would imagine it should last another 25 years maybe. If I ever experience issues with mine in the future I will be sure to edit my review so you can know what to expect from a person like myself who takes very good care of his stuff.Read full review

Back in the day, this was THE controller to have for the PC. It has a detachable stick that goes in the D-pad so you can use it as a tiny joystick. It certainly does not beat the feel of a SNES controller, but back then, it was as good as a PC could get.

I have owned 10-15 of these gamepads over the course of the last 20 year, and it is still my favorite for playing classic PC games. However, the reason that I've owned so many is that they constantly fail, the board shorts on them easily so you lose an axis or button. Good thing they're typically under $10, because they've never lasted me more than 6 months before needing to be replaced. Gravis was purchased by Kensington who discontinues them, and whatever Gravis Gamepad Pros are still out there are great for a few trips down memory lane.
