The 1969 mix of Aoxomoxoa is far superior to the 1971 version. All the songs have a deeper grittier sound to them. The choir in Mountains of Moon and sound effects in What’s Become of the Baby make them far more ominous sounding while the harmonies and added keyboards in China Cat Sunflower provide a much looser sound to the track. Highly recommend this version over the 1971 mix. Proudly own both an original pressing and the new 180gram reissue

I love the Grateful Dead. This is not one of their finer offerings. It was difficult to listen to.
