I bought this GA-8KNXP motherboard because a new device I installed on my previous motherboard malfunctioned and overheated the circuits. Which as I had only just purchased Windows 7 32Bit was frustrating ie. I probably would have bought a NEW system and 64Bit Windows 7, if I had a choice. Now having installed all my accessories from the broken motherboard the GA-8GE800 Pro eg. USB+1394, S/N:12CR1-1UBIE0-11/R USB2.0*2P+IEEE1394(2*8-14gray)& AUDIO, S/N :12CR1-1SPOUT-03R pin SPDIF OUT(RCA)cable & 1394, S/N :12CF1-1IE008-01R-ports IEEE 1394a bracket & DDR Kingston RAM (all four sticks) & GeForce 7 Series AGP card & Creative Sound Blaster PCI card & not forgetting the 478 CPU [[http://www.gigabyte.com.au/support-downloads/cpu-support.aspx]] I am relishing the fact that I can now install up to 4Gb of RAM (six sticks). The board has SATA connectors so if/when I update my HDD I can choose the type of drive, NOT be told what to buy,,,The only CON was that I did not know which settings I should select in the BIOS for my own application.Read full review
