Great upgrade from my Garmin Forerunner
Super-solid, multi-sport watch with a fantastic display. So far I've used this for hiking, running, and with the bike sensor, for cycling. The heart-rate monitor is bulkier than what came with my past-gen Forerunner 305, but the band is much nicer--a sort of coated rubber band rather than fabric, which seems like it will be much less prone to stretching with wear.
My issues with the watch so far are that it doesn't sync very quickly with my phone/the app (though not sure if this is the phone or the watch), and the navigation is not always intuitive. I'm still not sure about accuracy of some measures. On a run in Central Park, Strava measured a run as 7 miles when the Fenix measured it at 6, and right now it's telling me I'm sitting at 2700' when I know I'm at closer to 100'. It's also not clear how to see remaining battery charge without docking the watch.
Still, this is a great improvement on my 305, from the sports-watch form factor to the fact that it measures treadmill runs, so I expect to continue using this as my go-to monitoring device for some time to come!
