I've owned this phone for about 2 years and it has worked flawlessly. If you're looking for a cell phone that isn't a total swiss army knife, then I heartily recommend this phone for you. It's got lots of features that take it beyond a basic cell phone. The menu system is intuitive and overall operation is simple to master. PROS: Compact, Long Battery Life, Web Browser, Vision Service Enabled, Color Screen, Planner, Intuitive User Interface CONS: Small Screen, No Camera, No MP3
This phone is a joy to hold. You'll be stroking it like a pet kitten for days after you first touch it. The antenna stays securely nested in the phone unless you need the extra signal boost. It's optional. This phone can take a beating. I don't bother with bulky holsters or cases. I just slip mine into my pocket and watch other people with ultra-expensive phones wish they could do the same. It also has amazing and very useful voice-command features. It's the only type I'll use now. Other useful features are too numerous to mention. Yes it has web. Yes you can download images and ring tones. But I simply use it as a phone. You can't beat it for that purpose. There is no screen to view when it's closed, but as you can guess, that doesn't bother me in the least. It's basically an incredible phone disguised as an entry-level phone.Read full review
This phone kept reception where others I've owned dropped calls. My phone is never off and this one will go a whole week on standby without recharging. I also had no trouble figuring out how to use it without referring to the manual. Unfortunately, my wife managed to break two of these phones at the hinges. I got her a non-flip phone for better durability. So, this is a good piece of equipment unless you abuse it.
I have been using this phone for over 2 years and just bought this replacement for my old one that died. Is slim and fits in your pocket easily. Drawback: if you ever need a new battery, don't let anyone sell you one that has to come from Hong Kong. It takes 3 weeks and they don't tell you it will take that long. Buy a replacement phone from eBay instead. Make a backup of all your phone numbers, because if it dies like mine did, you will lose all your numbers.
I recently switched from Sprint to Verizon, and had to buy a new phone. I greatly miss my old Sprint Samsung phone. It is the perfect size, and is very durable. I dropped it from my second floor apartment in college, and it still worked! It does seem to show scratches and wear a little bit more, but that's merely cosmetic and easily remedied. I enjoyed the features, I especially liked the 2 alarm clock settings. Sprint also has a lot of great ring tones, and it's very easy to download them and use them on your phone. You can choose to use one ring tone for one person only, as a default ringer for all calls with caller ID, without caller ID or unknown. You can also assign numbers into groups, and an entire group, such as "Friends" or "Colleagues", will share the same ring tone. The only problem I had with it is that the headset jack doesn't seem to hold up very well. Thankfully, most Sprint stores are good about fixing or replacing your phone if this occurs within the 1 year warranty.Read full review
