Very impressed with these pickups. Clean or crunch, the bridge pickup screams, and the neck pickup gives a well balanced rhythm tone. Wires are very tiny (22-24awg), but that’s pretty common when they’re capable of being split/tapped.

    Surprised

    I bought a pair of 59'ers and a pair of 57 specials. After seeing the solder joints on the covers i was skeptical. However after intalling the 59er's i was pleasantly suprised. The neck is very clear with a modest cream effect, very nice. The bridge is a bit bright, great with a crunch though. Overall these are great pickups for a great price. I dont plan on changing them anytime soon. Sitting in a mahogony body now and still when you read this im sure.

    Great tone without the ridiculous price tag

    These pickups sound VERY good for the $$$. I've used these a few times in some of my builds to keep costs down, but you're definitely not sacrificing tone quality. If you are looking for a high quality low cost pickup, look no farther than the Guitar Madness products. I can assure you, you won't be disappointed.

    Surprised the hell out of me! I've been a fan of Gibson pups for quite a while but also like others. Tend to like higher output for hard rock and blues 490r/498t combo one of my favorites. I replaced some microphonic pickups that were not potted with these and they blew me away. When I need to replace my pickups I will look to Guitar Madness first!

    Had to buy more! These ROCK!!

    The best part of these pickups is, when somebody hears them and says, " Wow! what are these?" You say custom wound PAF's They say, how much? You say $300 They say, cool You say, just kidding, $30 The look of confusion is hilarious. The hardest part of putting these in an expensive guitar is: getting over the fact they didn't cost $300 and it sounds like you did!
