Fundamentals of Engineering Thermodynamics is a well written text book. I am in my sophomore year as a Mechanical Engineer and have read or partially read many science and math textbooks so far. Although I am only in my first semester of Thermodynamics, this book has introduced the topics of study very well. It also is well written and gives you the tools and equations to solve the problems in a fairly easy to understand format.
i used this book during my undergrad then sold it thinking that I don't need it (I got A in this course). Later, I realized that shouldn't had sold it since I need it for my grad school reference. So, i bought it back and would never sell it again. This is very good book to quickly understand the materials, and more importantly, ask your teacher for guidance.
It was ok, there was more writing in it than described, but I ended up not taking the class so I don't have to use it. But the international book (the one I recieved) was exactly like the original.
It helped out in class until, my professor found out about the cd. I wasn't using it to copy put some where, and someone told; so then we got punished. The professor is not giving problems from the book no more but I guess I can still use it as a reference. Besides, who was the creator of that cd?
It is not the best but it is acceptable. The author sometimes is difficult to understand, but in general, if you need the book to review thermodynamics fundementals, then it is the book you are looking for.
