Wow. What a fantastic little lens that helps keep my XPro2 nice and small. I have the 16-55 f2.8 as well as the Zhong-Yi 50mm f0.95 and this is a great lens to have as a general walkaround. Prime lenses can be a limiting factor in the way I like to shoot so the 16-55 had been glued to my camera but this one is so light and makes for such a compact shooting experiences that I've had a lot of fun taking photos with it. Its definitely not the sharpest in the Fuji line up and there are other things that people tend to miss like the physical aperture ring but I'd been shooting with Canon for YEARS before moving to Fuji so the ability to quickly change apertures with the back dial is a plus for me, personally. Overall, a great lens that, for the price just can't be beat. If you're looking for clinically sharp photos you might pass on this lens but if you want something that's not going to break the bank and still give you great results on the Fuji system, look no further.Read full review

It performs and behaves exactly as described in the dozens of competent on line reviews of this lens. It was purchased because it is small, in between, utility focal length-wise and walk-around street photo lens and one of the more affordable Fugifilm OEM lenses. So far, so good. It is overpriced for what it is even at the reduced price I paid for the used example purchased here on Ebay. It should have cost about half what I paid for a new example....especially for a lens without an aperture adjustment ring and no hood or protection case but that is only my humble opinion. It is compact and well built and the images it takes are excellent.

This is an extremely versatile and light little lens that is ideal for travelling. The Image Quality is very high and its also very silent in operation. The only downside is that it does not have an on-lens aperture ring, and does not come with a lens hood. However you can change aperture easily via the camera (rear-wheel) and I believe you can also buy third party lens hoods, although I did not bother as I think it would defeat the purpose of having a pancake lens. Overall, its a great lens at a great price, making it an attractive addition to any Fuji shooter's line up.

The Fujifilm pancake lens is a nice replacement for the kit lens that comes in the X-E1 kit. It makes the camera lighter and less bulky while still taking great photos. I enjoy carrying the camera around with just this lens attached all the time. The XF27 doesn't have optical image stabilization like the kit lens so the camera has to be more stable when taking a picture, but it's not a big deal. I was able to shoot decent pictures without thinking too hard about stabilization. Other reviewers mention that the aperture can only be adjusted by the dial on the camera body and dock points off for that. I actually like having the aperture adjustment on the body dial since my thumb falls on it naturally. The only issue that bothers me is that I like to have a UV filter attached as a lens protector, but the way the the lens is designed causes the UV filter to stick out awkwardly a few millimeters (with the lens cap on, you can really tell). Overall, it was a good purchase. I'm a cheapskate and think it could be priced lower, but you gotta pay to play with nice equipment that works without much fuss.Read full review
The Fujifilm 27mm lens does its own f/stop setting for every photo (it is automatic). This focal length is comparable to a 35mm digital camera's 40mm focal length. I am a seasoned photographer and I found this little lens performs marvelously. The Fujifilm XF 27mm f/2.8 lens is affordable, and you do not have to know f/stops and shutter speeds.

Truly I was not expecting much, but to be honest, it is really a fantastic and sharp lens. I do wish that it had an aperture ring on it, but it is easy enough to adjust it in camera. So light and sharp. most Excellent.

This lens completely alters the form-factor of Fuji mirrorless cameras to give them more of a point-and-shoot convenience. Aside from this, this is just about the most useful focal length with an APS-C (about 43mm full-frame equivalent) and is unbelievably sharp. The relatively fast f2.8 aperture is amazing at this size which makes it useable is low light and will even produce some convincing Bokeh. This lens stays on my Fuji XT-10 90% of the time - it's just so versatile!

I typically put this on my X-E2 camera and use it for street photography given it's small and lightweight size. Images are reasonably sharp. My only complaint about it (and this is more about Fujifilm lenses in general) is that it doesn't have an aperture ring - rather, you need to set the aperture with a scroll wheel on the camera. Takes a little while to get use to doing this if you normally shoot with Fuji lenses that have the aperture ring. yes, I realize this would add to the size of the lens, but I'd prefer the ring design.

This is a small 'pancake' lens and makes my x-e3 compact enough to carry in my bag wherever I go. It's a good focal length for general use and takes sharp images. My only complaint would be the lack of an aperture ring but I've adapted to using the wheel on the camera.

This is a great addition to any fuji camera if you are looking to slim down your camera, it makes my x-t3 much much more compact and lighter weight. Despite the small size, image quality is very good. Lens is not stabilized, so be mindful about slower shutter speeds, 1/30th sec might result in a blurry image in some scenarios. Pluses: Very light and compact Sharp Focuses pretty fast Nice 41mm equivalent field of view Minuses: No OIS Slightly noisy autofocus Not weather-sealed No aperture ring* *lens is really too small to fit one, but does have focus ring, I set my front command dial to control aperture, works great. I'm not sure I would have shelled out $449 for this, but if you can get it for under $300, its a good value.
