So, I've never owned a digital camera of my own before (I suppose I've gotten by so far using my phone and webcam). So I decided to look around for a camera that was ~$100 but still took good quality photos. Everyone was suggesting I get a Canon, and I looked at a few used ones (in particular the Powershot sd780 and sd1100). Even the 8MP ones were pricey. Then I came across the z37 for around $75, new, in the box, and I just kept thinking "okay, what's the catch?" There isn't one. It's got 10MP, looks sleek, takes wonderful pictures, and it's incredibly easy to use. It's got everything that I was looking for in the Canon Powershot cameras for way less. This isn't necessarily a "photography camera", and it certainly isn't trying to be. But it's absolutely fantastic for what it is. The only downside that I can think of is, aesthetically, some people may not like it. Also if you like to do a lot of professional tweaking with the image settings and whatnot then this obviously isn't the camera for you (not to say that there aren't any, you can adjust things here and there). Bottom line, if you're looking for a point and shoot with great picture quality and adequate custom picture taking settings, then look no further.Read full review
After useing this camera I found that it works very good. Not to hard to figure out, takes good pictures, and very easy to carry. Two things I found I didn't care for are 1,the display is hard to see when outside on sunny days and 2,it needs a little faster shutter speed, any movement by subject will blurr the picture. Other than those 2 things witch I'm still working on I DO like the camera.
i like this camera because of the design oin the front, and the size. ive been needing a cute, small, pocket-portable camera that i could just take out and snap pictures with. andf i like things that most people dont have, which is why i chose this one because it has polka dots. :)
for a lower priced camera - this is great! it takes real quality pictures, and has tons of features on it. I like that it is small enough to throw in my purse, but has a nice big viewing screen. I really am very happy with this camera & it is my favorite color!
I bought this for my 9 year old granddaughter who wants to get into digital photography as she recently got a computer. This camera is very easy for her to run and use. She should not have any trouble with the operation of the camera and Grandma has a Fugi camera so we can spend time together and I can teach her how to use. Would recommend this for a Fugi for a beginner. The bonus is that she likes the color blue.
