FFRE123WA1 Does Have Eco Mode
There is a lack of proper documentation about the latest models of air conditioners by Frigidaire, and it's no one's fault save Frigidaire. They act like they sell 4 models of 12,000 BTU A/Cs that are identical when in fact they are NOT. Some of their webpages use the wrong picture, and they're the manufacturer! So to save anyone who's wondering some time, I think the most important thing I can say about the FFRE123WA1 is that it DOES have Eco Mode. This allows the A/C to turn itself off when the temperature in the room reaches your specified temperature as the remote reads it, which is the whole point. If you want the A/C at 77 degrees for a pet, then you don't need it to go all the way down to 70 and waste money. I had a previous generation of a Frigidaire 12,000 BTU A/C that also ... I had a previous generation of a Frigidaire 12,000 BTU A/C that also had this remote sensing technology, and the main differences between this one and the older one are: 1. This one has an EER of 12.0 and is more energy efficient than its predecessor. When I would turn the old one on sometimes the lights would dim for a second; that doesn't happen with the FFRE123WA1. I also couldn't run it on high and have 2 other A/Cs on in the house without tripping the breaker, not so with the FFRE123WA1, but that's because... 2. This one IS a little less powerful than the old one was. It definitely isn't as powerful on "Medium" setting than the old one was, which is what I like to leave it on because I sit near it in the room that it's in. 3. The thermometer in the remote control is different than the old one. I put the two remotes next to each other, and the temperature reading on the new remote is usually 1-2 degrees higher, and finally 4. The old one, when you put it in Eco (or Energy Saving) mode, would go one degree below the set temperature and then turn off (meaning, you set it for 77, when the remote said it was 76, it would turn off), and then turn back on when the temperature was 2 degrees higher than the setting (using the previous example, it would turn back on when the remote said it was 79). The FFRE123WA1 will turn off using my example AT 77, and then turn back on when the temperature hits 80. Hope this helps you make an informed decision.

Best purchase for comfort in years
Brand new with easy install, no dents and packaging was factory superb.. is quiet and looks modern. This is a real 5 star product.. energy bill went way down and works twice as well as the portable floor unit with the same btu rating I replaced.

Unit came damaged, but Best Buy traded it out with no problem . Replacement unit works good. The temp read out on unit is about 5 degrees off from the actual room temp. So I just set the temp at 72 degrees to have 77-78 degrees in the room. No problem there. I love the Timer on and Timer off feature. Also I love the Auto fan function--where the fan runs different speeds to suit the cooling ability. Also the ECO mode works good as an energy saver. Not sure about the energy efficiency, since I've only had it a few days. I don't have any photos of the unit yet. Looks nice though. I replaced a unit that was 50years old in 2018--with this unit.Unit came damaged, but Best Buy traded it out with no problem . Replacement unit works good. Great A C for South TEXAS HEAT!!
It works great it's been some months now it was a great price it cools a 17 x 12 room in South Texas heat it came in great condition it wasn't damaged the only thing is just a small thing but the remote doesn't turn off it stays on but other than that it's perfect
